Innovative methods to cover missing soil data

Methodological recommendations for addressing soil data needs and gaps in environmental modelling have been developed at the Institute for Soil Sciences, HUN-REN Centre of Agricultural Research. The publication, featured in SOIL journal, catalogues open-access datasets and prediction methods for Europe, quantifies differences between various prediction approaches, and provides a comprehensive workflow with open-source computer codes for deriving missing soil data. The work primarily addresses soil physical and hydrological parameters, as well as nutrient content.
