ABOUT US
The Centre for Agricultural Research (ATK), with its three institutes and approximately 220 researchers, is one of the agricultural research institutes in Hungary with the greatest scientific potential. As an innovative research institute having the qualification of the Institute of Excellence of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, plays a significant role not only in the agricultural science activities of the region, but also in providing biological basis for agricultural production. As a result of its practice-oriented activities, the economic and social utilization of its publicly funded scientific results gets realized.
The Asset Management and Property Management Department, which also perform research exploitation and technology transfer tasks, operate within the framework of the Directorate of Institutional Development and Directorate of Strategy.
Our main task is to coordinate academic activities going on in ATK and to support researchers in the implementation of their research and technology transfer processes. Also, taking asset management of ATK into account is a must . Regarding this activity, we carry out the following tasks:
- Assessment of the research and innovation potential of ATK, compilation and regular maintenance of intellectual inventory.
- Performing tasks related to the notification, assesment and preparation of reception on intellectual property.
- Supporting activities related to the legal protection of intellectual property involving external experts.
- Finding investors and business mentors and initiating collaborations to exploit intellectual property.
- Professional and legal support for researchers in the form of contract of agreements.
- Establishment and management of a professional advisory team and mentor network, cooperation with Hungarian and international organizations.
- Investment forums, partner meetings, business and technology transfer trainings, benchmarking.
- Develpment and management of ATK’s incubation processes.
- Offering intellectual products and R+D services and performing science communication tasks.
In our work, it is primary to support the activities of researchers ranging from the idea to market access, while we place special emphasy on the protection of the interests of ATK as a research institute.
